Japanese-English Dictionary + Study App
I'm thinking of making an iOS app that combines a Japanese-English dictionary with a vocab study tool (using SRS) of words that the user has looked up. There are lots of great apps for studying vocab with SRS (e.g., Anki, Wanikani, Memrise), but none make it easy to quickly add words to your study queue. Lots of iOS J-E dictionaries include some vocab studying tools (some even include SRS studying), but usually those features are buried add-ons. The goal for this app is to focus heavily on both sides: looking up words and reviewing previously-looked up words. I've mainly been thinking of this idea as something for English speakers learning Japanese, but I think the same concepts would apply to Japanese speakers learning English, so we might even want to make it bi-directional.
Let me know if you're interested in such a project!
(I can only speak a little Japanese, but I'd be happy to work with people who can't speak much English)

Are you still interested? SRS is a spaced repetition system: review study item after (for example) 5 minutes, then after 1 hour, then after 1 day, then after 1 week, etc. Are you still interested?
